Challenge

Foskor, a plant producing Sulphuric acid (H2S04), Phosphoric acid (P205) and granular fertilizer (MAP/DAP), required a durable solution for the pumping of highly corrosive slurries.

Solution

• Hazleton Pumps International (Pty) Ltd, based in Centurion, South Africa designed and manufactured fit for purpose vertical spindle slurry pumps for the project.
• Pumps manufactured from CD4MCu Duplex Stainless Steel for resistance to PH below 4.
